Don’t miss this place when visiting phuket.
We went to New York Live Music Bar on Bangla Road last night for the first time since December 2019. I was so happy to be there and so happy to see the same energy and great music as before COVID19. Made me very very happy that the best music bar in one of the funnest places in the world Bangla Road survived COVID19 and is coming back so strong

I visit Patong usually twice a year and this venue never ceases to delight, particularly the first act, Fifth Avenue. Of the three bands, these are certainly my favourite.OK, so the beer prices are comparatively high. Then again, you get three bands, if you have the stamina, taking you from 18:30 to 03:00 or thereabouts.
All 3 bands are very good and, even though they may disappoint you by not knowing your request :-), the quality of musicianship and showmanship is outstanding.

Amazing Bands!We came into this bar not knowing what to expect, after hearing lively music from the street, we were not disappointed. We returned every night of our trip and couldn’t stay away. The second band slot was our favourite! From 10pm-1am, great energy and entertaining performances. The atmosphere of the bar is very packed, more like a club, with lots of seating available. It is full table service. Bathrooms are well looked after and majority of the staff are nice..

During my time in Phuket called into the New York a few times. Excellent band (Filipino I think) were playing a variety of popular music that would appeal to most peoples tastes. You can choose to sit inside (has AC and fans) or on one of the outside tables on Bangla Rd. Wait staff were very friendly and attentive, never had to wait too long for a drink even when very busy. Drinks are not overly priced considering the location and quality of live music.

THE COLOR OF BANGLA
New York Bar Patong is a good choice for live music and party lovers, situated almost in the middle of Bangla Road. It is a fairly large music venue with great live music 7 days a week. The bar plays an interesting mix of rock and most popular current songs from all over the world. The friendly service helps to make a great fun atmosphere and an enjoyable surrounding to the place. Drink menu offers a variety of tasty ice-cold beer and mixed drinks. Phuket.Net

You can just sit on a table or dancing in front of the stage.
The bands can play all kind of music, and you can also request special songs.
Chang beer costs 150 THB, cocktails 200-250 THB approx.
